जब आप प्रार्थना करते हैं, &quot;तुम्हारा राज्य आवे,&quot; तो आप नियंत्रण सौंप रहे होते हैं। यह कोई काव्यात्मक भाषा नहीं है। यह भारी कीमत चुकाने वाला है। शिष्यत्व के लिए हर गंभीर प्रार्थना में समर्पण शामिल होता है। परमेश्वर का राज्य स्वार्थी महत्वाकांक्षाओं में बाधा डालता है। यह छिपे हुए अहंकार को उजागर करता है। यह कार्यक्रमों को फिर से व्यवस्थित करता है। कई विश्वासी अधिकार का विरोध करते हुए आशीष मांगते हैं। यह तनाव आध्यात्मिक विकास को घुटन देगा।<\/p>

&quot;और हमारे कर्ज़़ माफ़ कर, जैसे हम अपने कर्ज़़दारों के कर्ज़़ माफ़ करते हैं।&quot; पश्चाताप के बिना कोई स्थायी संबंध नहीं हो सकता। बिल्कुल नहीं। प्रभु की प्रार्थना लंबवत और क्षैतिज संबंधों को अलग करने से इनकार करती है। यदि आप मन में कटुता रखते हुए ईश्वर के करीब होना चाहते हैं, तो आपको दूर महसूस होगा। शिष्यत्व के लिए प्रार्थना विश्वासियों को अपने मन में बसी रंजिशों की जांच करने के लिए मजबूर करती है।<\/p>

क्षमा कमजोरी नहीं है। यह आज्ञाकारिता है। यह हृदय को कोमल रखती है। कठोर हृदय आत्मा को स्पष्ट रूप से नहीं सुन सकता। कई आध्यात्मिक संघर्ष बौद्धिक नहीं होते हैं। वे संबंधों से जुड़े होते हैं। क्षमा न करना विकास में बाधा डालता है। स्वीकारोक्ति रास्ता साफ करती है।<\/p>
