求神改变我们的心，而不是改变我们的处境，这是灵性成长的第一步。与那些求助、求指引或求祝福的基督徒相比，很少有基督徒会这样祷告：“主啊，无论付出什么代价，求祢使我成为圣洁。”然而，神总是乐意回应这样的祈求。<\/p>

<\/div>

圣经充分表明，顺服是成长的必要条件。“若有人要跟从我，就当舍己，天天背起他的十字架来跟从我，”耶稣如此宣告（路加福音9:23）。舍己是预备，而非惩罚。关于属灵成长的经文一再表明，神是通过信靠、顺服和坚持来使我们成长的。 当我们放手不再掌控时，上帝便开始祂最深刻的工作。<\/p>

“父啊，请向我显明我必须改变什么”，这是为属灵成长所做的最直接的祷告之一。正是通过这一祷告，我们才能获得内心的确信、悔改与更新。正如关于属灵成长的经文所提醒我们的，修剪是一项充满爱意的作为。 《希伯来书》指出，受管教的人会结出“公义和平的果子”。尽管成长过程可能令人不适，但它总是值得的。<\/p>

我常劝勉信徒用圣经来祷告。当言语无法表达我们的心愿时，关于属灵成长的经文就能代我们表达。 在《以弗所书》中，保罗教导我们要为内心的力量祷告。在《诗篇》里，大卫祷告说：“神啊，求你为我造清洁的心。”这些关于属灵成长的经文使我们的信心扎根于现实，并将我们的愿望与神的旨意相契合。<\/p>

顺服是一种持续的态度，而非一次性的事件。每天早晨，我们都要重新决定要信靠谁。成熟的信仰取决于我们顺服的彻底程度，而非我们知道多少。当我们把日常生活、诱惑、计划和伤痛都交托给神时，祂便将我们塑造成谦卑、充满爱心的基督的映照。<\/p>

若想获得更深层的成长，不要等待理想的境况。从今天开始，诚心祷告，求主赐予属灵成长、忠心的顺服和敞开的双手。你对自身转变的投入，远不及神对你的投入。<\/p>
