当工作艰辛时，它很少让人感到神圣。漫长的工时。难相处的人。 那些看似微不足道、无人注意的任务。这正是许多人灰心丧气之处。他们开始认为自己日常的呼召与神的旨意几乎毫无关系。但如果你留意《圣经》中关于工作的记载，你会看到不同的景象。约瑟在治理一个国家之前，曾在监狱中服侍；路得在人生发生巨变之前，曾怀着默默的忠心拾取麦穗。 耶稣自己也在公开事工开始之前，花了数年时间从事平凡的劳动。<\/p>

在神的计划中，没有被浪费的时光。有的只是信心正在成形的地方。<\/p>

你不需要一个舞台来荣耀神，你需要在当下所处的位置上顺服。这听起来或许简单，却直指人心深处。这意味着当你感到被忽视时仍坚持出现；这意味着在无人监督时仍脚踏实地地工作；这意味着当别人比你晋升得更快时，仍拒绝心生苦毒。这些绝非微不足道的举动，而是塑造你灵魂的属灵抉择。<\/p>

这里还有一项警告。工作可能会变成偶像，它可能会悄无声息地取代对神的信靠。 你可能会开始认为自己的价值源于产出、认可或成功。圣经对此予以驳斥。你的价值根植于基督。工作源于此，而非以此为目标。当这种顺序被颠倒时，疲惫便随之而来；当顺序正确时，即使在压力重重的时期，内心也会有种稳固的平安。<\/p>

你们当中有些人感到疲惫。不仅仅是身体上的疲惫，更是灵里的疲惫。你们一直忠心耿耿，却感觉一切都没有改变。请清楚地听见这一点：神并没有忽视你们的劳苦。祂正借着这一切塑造你们。你们正在学习的忍耐、谦卑和坚韧——这些并非副产品，而是工作背后真正的工作。<\/p>
